Aaronshawn Poolsaad, O.D.
Dr. Aaronshawn Poolsaad earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO). Dr. Poolsaad is licensed and trained in the use of Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents and certified by the National Board of Optometry to treat and manage Glaucoma and ocular diseases/eye infections. After graduating, he honed his skills by working with other highly reputable eye care professionals. His initial work began with a group of pediatric ophthalmologists at the Family Eye Medical Group which later lead to him earning a position as a Medical Expert Optometrist for students of the Los Angeles Unified School District.
Although Dr. Poolsaad enjoys caring for patients of all ages, his passion for pediatrics was acknowledged when he was recognized as one of the top 3 best pediatric optometrists in Costa Mesa, CA. Dr. Poolsaad is a member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association. Whether he is caring for children or adults, he believes strongly in prevention and early detection of ocular disease. Dr. Poolsaad is trained in using the latest technology for early disease detection. He is very experienced in managing glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, specialty contact lens cases, and LASIK co-management. His mission is to give all his patients the attention and care they deserve.
Jana Giebel, O.D., FCOVD
Dr. Jana Giebel earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO). She then completed a post-doctorate Residency in Pediatric Optometry & Vision Therapy/Neuro-Optometry and her Fellowship with the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. Dr. Giebel is Board Certified in Vision Therapy. Dr. Giebel is also licensed and trained in the use of Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents and certified by the National Board of Optometry to treat and manage Glaucoma and ocular diseases/infections. She has had extensive training in primary eye care, pediatric optometry, neuro-optometry, vision therapy, contact lenses, and ocular disease.
She is an Adjunct Faculty member for the Pediatric Optometry & Vision Therapy/Neuro-Optometry Residency Program at the Center for Vision Development Optometry. Dr. Giebel is also a Medical Expert Optometrist for students at the Los Angeles Unified School District. She is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and Rio Hondo Optometric Association. Her main passion is treating vision issues associated with learning-related vision problems, lazy eye, concussion/brain injury, eye focusing problems, and developmental delay. She enjoys helping her patients with all aspects of their vision development, comfort, and eye health.
